About The Position

Swift Transportation is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead and support a fleet of professional drivers, helping them deliver freight safely and successfully across the country. The role focuses on coaching and developing drivers, maintaining strong daily communication, supporting safety, service, and performance goals, and making timely operational decisions. The manager also oversees equipment utilization, driver home-time commitments, fleet performance, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in Operations, Planning, Logistics, Transportation, or Customer Account Management.
• Proven ability to lead, influence, and motivate others.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience balancing competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor employment visas.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a fleet of 10 or more drivers.
• Build relationships with drivers through daily communication and support.
• Help drivers achieve safety, service, and performance goals.
• Manage equipment utilization to maximize productivity and profitability.
• Ensure driver home-time commitments are met.
• Identify opportunities to improve fleet performance and operational efficiency.
• Monitor safety metrics and help build a safety-first culture.
