Requirements

Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (add, subtract, divide, multiply) and write legibly.
Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods.
Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis.
Must be able to use proper lifting techniques.
The ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety is extremely important.
Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements.
Must be able to shift priorities easily.
Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
Must have excellent work habits.
Must be familiar with warehouse systems.
High school diploma.
6 months or more of direct experience in a similar position.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of White glove moves.

Responsibilities

Ensure all vendor safety practices are adhered to, instruct others of proper safety practices and advise supervisor of abuses.
Work closely with the shift lead to ensure a smooth operation for the day and for the week. Discuss all inconsistencies to the plan with the supervisor.

Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with outstanding integrity and pride.
Interact with our approved service providers in arranging local and Domestic truck shipments, meeting customer service standards.
Contribute to maintaining good relationships with suppliers.
Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations.
Understand department process flow, and look for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company’s procedures.
Manage network communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external).
Ability to multitask, problem solve and respond rapidly.
Escalate problems to Management when necessary.
Optimize all pick up and deliveries leveraging dedicated assets and local vendor resources to provide the lowest cost model for the service requested.
Utilize in-market knowledge of traffic patterns and industrial parks in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Ability to cost out local moves, understand costs, and provide pricing.
Handle white glove moves (a plus).
