Transportation Coordinator (Driver)
About The Position
The Transportation Coordinator (Driver) delivers a structured, reliable, resident-focused transportation program within the community. The role includes driving as well as coordinating transportation, scheduling, communicating with residents, and providing operational support. The schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with transportation services during scheduled work hours, including coverage of designated medical transportation days on Tuesdays and Thursdays. During non-driving hours, the coordinator supports programming, other departments, and operational tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- At least three years of licensed driving experience.
- Valid state driver's license (Class E in Missouri) and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.

Responsibilities
- Provide transportation during scheduled work hours, including coverage of designated medical transportation days on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Safely operate community vehicles to provide medical, recreational, and personal transportation.
- Enter and manage transportation requests in the digital transportation management system, keeping schedules accurate and aligned with community guidelines and availability.
- Complete routine vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
- Support the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, safety protocols, and return schedules.
- Provide community support during non-driving hours, including programming, interdepartmental support, and other operational tasks.
