Transportation Coordinator (Driver)
About The Position
The Transportation Coordinator (Driver) delivers a structured, reliable, resident-focused transportation program within the community. The role includes driving as well as transportation coordination, scheduling, resident communication, and operational support. The schedule is full-time, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The position provides medical, recreational, and personal transportation; coordinates transportation requests in a digital management system; maintains vehicle readiness; supports outings and events with the Entertainment & Programming team; and assists with other community tasks during non-driving hours.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- At least three years of licensed driving experience.
- Valid state driver's license; Class E license in Missouri.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.

- Previous experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination.
Responsibilities
- Provide transportation during scheduled work hours, including coverage of designated medical transportation days on Tuesday and Thursday.
- Safely operate community vehicles to provide medical, recreational, and personal transportation.
- Enter and manage transportation requests in the digital transportation management system, keeping schedules accurate and aligned with community guidelines and vehicle availability.
- Complete routine vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
- Support the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, safety protocols, and return schedules.
- During non-driving hours, support programming, other departments, and operational tasks while maintaining productivity throughout scheduled work hours.
