About The Position

The Transportation Coordinator (Driver) delivers a structured, reliable, and resident-focused transportation program within the community. The role includes driving as well as coordinating transportation, scheduling, communicating with residents, and providing operational support. The position is full-time, scheduled Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Transportation services include coverage of designated medical transportation days, Tuesday and Thursday. During non-driving hours, the coordinator supports programming, other departments, and operational tasks.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years old.
At least three years of licensed driving experience.
Valid state driver's license; Class E license in Missouri.
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Ability to safely operate passenger vehicles, buses, and mobility lift systems while assisting residents with mobility needs.

Previous experience with older adults, transportation, or coordination.

Responsibilities

Provide transportation during scheduled work hours, including coverage of designated medical transportation days on Tuesday and Thursday.
Safely operate community vehicles for medical, recreational, and personal transportation.
Enter and manage transportation requests in the digital transportation management system, keeping schedules accurate and consistent with community guidelines and availability.
Complete routine vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
Support the Entertainment & Programming team with scheduled outings and events, including planning, logistics, resident participation, safety protocols, and return schedules.
Provide community support during non-driving hours, including programming, interdepartmental support, and other operational tasks.
