About The Position

This role is part of Ravago’s Domestic Transportation Department, which supports approximately 30 of Ravago’s Business Divisions and manages a transportation budget of ~$125M and ~150,000 shipments annually. As a Tracking & Tracing Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that any delays or deviations from requested pickup and required delivery are effectively communicated to the affected parties in a timely manner. You will be expected to complete follow-up on all pickups and deliveries promptly to allow for proactive responses from the Transportation team to any delays. Additionally, you will manage the delay reason coding for all delayed shipments, which is crucial for determining root causes and preventing future delays. You will collaborate closely with the Transportation team to assist with rescheduling pickups, arranging redeliveries and expedites, and keeping all necessary parties informed.

Requirements

Knowledge of transportation modes and warehouse operations.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
Valid driver’s license.
Proficiency in English.
Ability to setup desk equipment including setting up equipment on top of desks and connecting cables and power cords under desk (requiring lifting, bending, pushing, pulling).

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in transportation and/or warehousing preferred.
Bi-Lingual – Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

Act as a direct contact for Account Managers, Customer Service Representatives, Product Coordinators, and Management for any follow-up on delayed shipments.
Track and trace all shipments within a timeframe that allows for proactive responses to delays.
Keep delay reason coding up to date.
Complete follow-up on all pickup and deliveries in a time frame that allows for a proactive response from the rest of the Transportation team.
Manage the delay reason coding for all delayed shipments and determine how to prevent them.
Ensure the entire month is coded by the following week of a new month to allow for complete monthly reports to the commercial teams.
Support excellent carrier and warehouse relationships.
Maintain TMS updates (OTM and Project44).
Provide rotational afterhours coverage for 2-3 weeks of the year.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
