About The Position

In this role, you will report to Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or chemical handling
• Knowledge of Information, intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Word and Excel
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, and security clearances.
• Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can-do attitude.
• Travel may be required from building to building.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily review of chemical inventory and timely resolution of chemical inventory, planning, and supply chain issues.
• Reviews and reconciles chemical inventory in all labs annually.
• Reconciles the chemical materials for each lab and ensures the accuracy of chemical data in the database.
• Performs and reconciles routine cycle counts.
• Communicates with suppliers as needed for proof of delivery.
• Investigates and resolves shipment discrepancies, including expiration issues, duplicates, overages, incorrect items, and no‑charge replacements.
• Works with material purchasing to optimize inventory investment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
