Buckner Retirement Services Community: Westminster Place Location: Longview, TX - Onsite Address: 2201 Horseshoe Lane Longview, TX 75605 Shift: As needed Job Schedule : Occasional (PRN) We are seeking a Transportation Associate to join our community committed to delivering outstanding customer service through the transportation process. As a Transportation Associate, you will play a n important role in serving our residents transportation needs that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Requires a current Texas Driver License and the ability to drive manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Requires ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under Buckner’s insurance policy.
  • Must be age 21 or older to drive on behalf of Buckner.
  • Requires proficient ability to speak, read and write English; ability to read, write and understand business documents which are written in English.
  • Requires excellent communication or organizational skills.
  • Requires ability to use up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 20 pounds continuously to move food service and preparation equipment and other objects.
  • Requires ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time; ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, stand and walk over 75% of shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer active and clear CDL.
  • Prior related experience working with and driving senior adults in a 12-15 passenger vehicle preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answers phone in a warm and friendly manner when a guest calls to retrieve a car.
  • Collects all the necessary information from the guest or nursing staff to ensure an accurate and safe transportation process.
  • Provides transportation for residents and members to doctor’s appointments and outings in Buckner owned and operated vehicles.
  • Maintains accurate control of keys for parked cars.
  • Handles all resident interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints, assists customers in all inquiries in connection with Buckner Senior Living.
  • Must be able to drive manual transmission vehicles.
