About The Position

The Transportation Aide/Van Driver assists with transporting facility patients and residents. The role includes escorting patients and residents between their assigned rooms and vehicles and driving facility vehicles to and from appointments. The listed shift is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The posted pay range is $15.00–$18.00 per hour; compensation decisions consider factors including skills, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and business and organizational needs. Requirements

High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent.
Class E driver’s license.
Ability to operate an automobile.
Valid, unencumbered driver’s license in the state of operation, with no motor vehicle violations, including driving under the influence or related charges.
Reliable transportation.

Prior experience transporting patients or residents for a hospital or nursing home.

Responsibilities

Escort patients and residents from assigned rooms to and from vehicles and appointments as needed.
Drive facility vehicles to transport patients and residents to and from appointments.
Report incidents, accidents, changes in a patient’s or resident’s condition, requests, problems, and complaints to a supervisor.
