About The Position

The Transportation Aide/Van Driver assists with transporting facility patients and residents. The position works an 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. shift and pays $15.00 to $18.00 per hour. Compensation decisions may consider skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma, vocational training, or equivalent.
• Class E driver’s license.
• Ability to operate an automobile.
• Valid, unencumbered driver’s license in the state of operation, with no motor vehicle violations, including driving under the influence or related charges.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience transporting patients or residents for a hospital or nursing home.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients and residents from assigned rooms to and from vehicles and appointments as needed.
• Drive facility vehicles to transport patients and residents to and from appointments.
• Report incidents, accidents, changes in a patient’s or resident’s condition, requests, problems, and complaints to a supervisor.
