The Transport Driver safely transports RVs, motorhomes, trailers, and related inventory among dealerships, vendors, pickup locations, and occasional customer destinations. The role requires dependable communication, sound judgment, accurate documentation, and consistent attention to safety. Assignments may involve regional or nationwide travel, overnight trips, and air or ground transportation to retrieve units. Drivers must follow applicable traffic laws, DOT requirements, and company safety procedures; complete required inspections and records; and monitor weather, road conditions, fatigue, and equipment condition. They must promptly report accidents, damage, citations, mechanical issues, or changes affecting driving eligibility, and protect company and customer property throughout each assignment. Drivers also provide trip updates, maintain mileage, work-time, fuel, trip, and unit-condition records, submit approved travel-expense documentation, and communicate professionally with contacts. The position may involve DOT-regulated driving and other covered safety-sensitive duties. Applicants must meet the licensing, driver qualification, and safety requirements applicable to assigned work. Depending on the assignment, qualification may include a review of driving and employment history, DOT medical certification, a driving skills evaluation, drug and alcohol testing for CDL-required work, and an FMCSA Clearinghouse review. Required medical inquiries and examinations take place after a conditional offer. Drivers need written compliance clearance before beginning covered duties and must maintain required licenses, certifications, and qualifications throughout employment. Reasonable accommodations are considered as required by law. Compensation follows the current approved Transport Driver payroll agreement and may include mileage or flat trip pay, hourly pay for specified duties, and approved travel expenses. The applicable plan is reviewed before hire. Assignments depend on business demand; a fixed number of hours or trips is not guaranteed. Required work-time and trip records must be submitted, and payroll administers legally required wage and overtime payments. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring pre-employment drug screening, including screening for non-psychoactive THC.
