Join us and help run what runs the world. This position reports to: TMC Transport and Trade Specialist. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the coordination of local import/export operations. Each day partner with internal trade compliance groups to help facilitate customs clearance of import and export shipments. You will also serve internal customers with domestic transportation and stock transfers. The work model for the role is: Hybrid. This role is contributing to the ELIP Transportation Department in US. Main stakeholders are Installation Products.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma and 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain/Logistics, OR related Associate’s degree and 3+ years of experience, OR related Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experience.
  • Experience in International/Domestic logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of and or experience in managing all modes of transportation relevant to the US logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of with Lean methodologies.
  • Highly adept in SAP, SAP TM, Blue Yonder WMS, Power BI or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, good collaborator, strategic thinker.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% regionally.
  • You are at ease communicating in English.
  • You hold current licenses valid in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Acting as point of contact for freight forwarders and ABB shipping locations in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products).
  • Auditing export shipment documents correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and bills of lading.
  • Managing the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.
  • Maintaining and sharing with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.
  • Day to day needs of all relevant shipping locations.
  • Facilitation of reporting in various systems for internal and external customers.
