Pacific Gas And Electric Company•San Luis Obispo, CA
•$120,888 - $183,840•Hybrid

About The Position

The Transmission Planning Engineer provides technical support and transmission system reliability analysis to develop transmission solutions for generation interconnection studies. The work supports California’s renewable portfolio standard (RPS) goals, CPUC mandates and policy initiatives for generation, distributed generation, and energy storage while meeting NERC compliance requirements. At the Journey level, the engineer resolves problems and may receive direction from senior engineers and the supervisor. Greater experience brings increased responsibility and independence in exercising judgment on standard problems. The role coordinates and interfaces with internal and external customers of PG&E Transmission Planning. The position is hybrid, combining work from a remote office and an assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. The position is represented by the Engineers and Scientists of California (ESC) and subject to collective bargaining.
