About The Position

Tonkin Hillsboro Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram is hiring a Transmission/Heavy Line Technician for immediate hire. This role involves handling complex, heavy-line repairs, supporting apprentice and lube technicians, and taking ownership of significant repair tasks. It is ideal for an experienced technician who takes pride in high-level automotive repair and thrives in a fast-paced new-car dealership environment.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of automotive repair/diagnostic experience
• Driver’s License
• Personal Tools
• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen

Nice To Haves

• FCA Certified is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Diagnose automotive problems as they arise
• Conduct inspections, repair engine failures, repair mechanical and electrical systems, and replace parts
• Comply with manufacturer specifications throughout the repair/servicing process
• Mentor and help other technicians on the Service Team
