About The Position

The TQE supports Supply Chain’s Global Transitions team as a Quality leader for Global Transitions hardware from contract review phase to First Article Inspection approval, PPAP Interim approval with a plan for Full approval, through our TQE Quality assessment and approval of production readiness/Gate C. TQE works with quality entities and suppliers to identify and proactively mitigate quality risk emphasizing product, AS13100, PPAP, APQP and PWA 79345 requirements. Mitigate risk proactively during using AS9145 tools as PFMEA, PFD, PCP, MSA and KPC Management. The main objective of the TQE is to mitigate the risk of quality escapes to our customers through robust contract review verification and preventing hardware nonconformance with the utilization of process control requirements (AS13100 /APQP/PPAP/KPC). TQE must be able to support and facilitate risk mitigation in contract review, contract flowdown, subtier management, special/controlled processes, and metallurgical control. The TQE is responsible for proactively supporting global transitions project managers with key quality deliverables to meet project timelines (qualification of special processes, ESA, waiver/deviation QNs, eSRIs). The TQE drives robust RCCA from the transitions supplier when nonconformances and noncompliances occur to support a healthy quality signature and production readiness. Provide or help facilitate training to suppliers on P&W quality systems and requirements. Review supplier compliance with applicable purchase orders / scheduling agreements, engineering drawings, specifications, and procedures. As a P4 level TQE, you’ll exemplify and support the team’s accountability, continuous learning, continuous improvement, and work execution through your leadership, technical and professional skills. You may be responsible for determining, with the support of the TQE manager, project assignments based on capacity, skill, and region. TQE Leads have weekly meetings with the TQE manager to discuss team strategy, lessons learned, and continuous improvement opportunities. You will drive collaboration amongst the quality entities, to identify and mitigate quality risk through both ZERO (Zero Escapes to RTX Operations) Events and Contract Review Verification (CRV) Events. Robust data analysis, cross-functional technical meetings, non-advocate reviews, and planning/strategy discussions are required for the facilitation and execution of these risk mitigation ZERO and CRV Quality Events. Facilitate and execute CRV events at suppliers to ensure understanding of PW blueprint, QAD, RCC requirements, and specifications, with the PW and supplier technical teams. Facilitate and execute ZERO events at suppliers to ensure robust systemic risk mitigation. Manage CRV gap assessment actions through completion, prior to FAI approval. Proactively monitor the quality signature of assigned parts to drive quality focused action and support production readiness/Gate C to launch at MRL 8 requirements. Responsible for Quality risk assessment (approval/rejection) of the Gate C workflow (production readiness/PO approval). Must be able to interact and work with different teams, internal and supply base. Travel at 40% to domestic and international supply base locations.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Deep understanding of PW Quality Systems, ESA, MCL and manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing supplier relationship and improving quality signature.
  • Knowledge and understanding of P&W products and services offered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Net Inspect, SAP, Qlik, CORE tools.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
