About The Position

The Transit Operator operates public transit vehicles to transport passengers to destinations within the service area safely, on time, and professionally. The position supports Clallam Transit System’s mission to enhance quality of life, bolster mobility, and create opportunities through transit. Paid training is provided to obtain the required commercial driver’s license. This is a safety-sensitive position subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with CTS policy and federal regulations. The position is represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 587.

Requirements

High school diploma or high school equivalency.
Five consecutive years of licensed driving experience.
A valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain one.
Meet all requirements and obtain a Class B Washington State commercial driver’s license (CDL), with proper licensure, during the training period.
Complete the application with the entire employment history; incomplete applications will disqualify applicants from further consideration.
