About The Position

The Town of Victor has one part-time opening in its Recycle Department. The position involves operating and maintaining the recycling facility, assisting residents, and performing manual work. The listed schedule is approximately 12.5 hours per week: Wednesdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Additional daytime shifts may be available as needed to cover vacations. This schedule is expected to continue through approximately February 7, 2027; hours after that date are subject to availability and change. The salary is $23.38 per hour. Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties related to recycling facility operations, including lifting and carrying recyclables and cleaning and sweeping the area.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in the recycling area.
• Inspect incoming vehicles for proper recycling permit certification.
• Provide courteous, prompt customer service to residents using the facility.
• Perform manual maintenance tasks at the outdoor material retention facility.
• Monitor dropped-off materials to ensure they are placed in the proper receptacle.
• Assist Swap Shop personnel as needed.
• Use tools and equipment safely, including consistently and properly using personal protective equipment.
• Attend all safety training and consistently demonstrate safe work practices.
