About The Position

A Laborer safely and efficiently performs general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. Work may include cleaning work areas, fueling vehicles and equipment, operating general site vehicles, performing yard work and basic office maintenance, installing temporary wind fences, and directing site traffic. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Starting pay is $21.57 per hour. The listed pay range is $17.13 to $23.42, reflecting minimum wages in multiple jurisdictions; the actual range depends on the locality where the employee is hired.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently perform assigned labor duties.
• Clean up work areas.
• Fuel vehicles and equipment.
• Clean track on track-type and related equipment.
• Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pickup.
• Operate general site vehicles and equipment, including water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming equipment.
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work.
• Install temporary wind fences as required.
• Direct traffic at the site as necessary.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
