About The Position

The Transfer Driver transports U-Haul equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships, and repair shops, helping keep equipment maintained and available to customers. The role uses U-Haul proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. U-Haul provides support and tools, and the position may suit applicants new to the industry as well as those with vehicle-repair experience. A hands-on working interview is available and is paid. The position is located at 2205 Hollywood Ave, Shreveport, Louisiana 71108. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must not require employer sponsorship.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
Ability to use mobile transfer programs.
D.O.T. certification if required; U-Haul can sponsor it.
Must be 18 or older.
Must be legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Complete receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
Transport U-Haul equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships, and the repair shop.
Perform visual inspections of equipment.
Maintain a driver log.
Provide assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of a supervisor.
