About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Transfer Driver to transport equipment to and from repair shops and support U-Haul centers, dealerships, and repair operations. Drivers use U-Haul’s proprietary mobile technology to assess and care for field vehicles, helping ensure equipment is available for customers. The role may suit applicants new to the industry as well as those with vehicle-repair experience. U-Haul offers support, tools, training, and opportunities for career growth. The work involves moderate risks or discomforts, including working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or chemicals. Protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required. Physical duties include periods indoors and outdoors while stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving at least 50 pounds, assisted or unassisted.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use mobile transfer programs.
• D.O.T. certification if required; U-Haul may sponsor certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Complete receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
• Transport U-Haul equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships, and the repair shop.
• Perform visual inspections of equipment.
• Maintain a driver log.
• Willingly assist in additional areas as necessary, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
