About The Position

U-Haul is hiring a Transfer Driver to transport equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships, and the repair shop, helping maintain equipment and support customer service. Drivers use U-Haul’s proprietary technology and mobile transfer programs to assess and care for field vehicles. The role may suit someone entering the industry or someone with vehicle-repair experience. U-Haul provides support and tools, and describes opportunities for career growth. The position is located at 5609 Raby Rd, Norfolk, Virginia 23502. Compensation is $12.77 to $14.50 per hour. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
Ability to use mobile transfer programs.
D.O.T. certification if required; U-Haul can sponsor it.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be legally authorized to work without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Fill in receipt and intake paperwork electronically.
Transport U-Haul equipment between U-Haul centers, dealerships, and the repair shop.
Perform visual inspections of equipment.
Maintain a driver log.
Provide assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the supervisor’s directives and guidance.
