About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse Bed Flow Coordinator for its Transfer Center. This part-time position is 24 hours per week on the third, night shift. The coordinator assesses, plans, develops, implements, and evaluates plans of care for specific patient populations. The role coordinates and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate appropriate and timely patient placement and transfers, and communicates capacity management plans to nursing units, leadership, and physicians. The coordinator applies clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards of care for the patient populations served.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse.
- Two years of recent acute care experience.
- Ability to multitask, type with reasonable speed, and take accurate notes.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in an ICU, ED, or Transfer Center.
