About The Position

The Training Supervisor oversees the general management of employees assigned to production areas at a BioLife Plasma Services center. The role monitors training needs, supports employee orientation and hiring, reviews quality records, manages production operations, and helps employees meet performance goals while following quality standards and procedures. The position reports to the Center Manager. It is based at the Columbus, Ohio, Bethel Road location and is a regular, full-time, hourly employee role. The position is eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) certification.
Frequent bending and reaching; ability to walk and stand for the entire shift; frequent lifting up to 32 pounds and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Fine motor coordination and depth perception, and ability to monitor equipment from a distance.
Prolonged glove wear is required because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Responsibilities

Monitor center training needs to ensure completion of cross-training and annual recertification training.
Review Quality Control Records.
Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation and participate in the hiring process.
Manage the production area and motivate employees to meet performance goals and comply with company quality standards and procedures.
Consult and refer escalated donor or employee concerns to the management team.
Counsel hourly staff on operational, safety, and customer service concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
