Under the direction of the Operations Managers, the Training Officer is responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of training programs for EMT, Paramedic, and SCT personnel. This includes providing direct instruction, overseeing field training activities, and ensuring personnel are competent in delivering safe and effective patient care and transportation services. The Training Officer ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including California Health and Safety Code, Title 22, Department of Health Services, California Highway Patrol requirements, and any other applicable regulatory or licensing agencies. Additionally, the Training Officer supports the Quality Improvement (QI) program and participates in the development and delivery of remedial training as needed. The Training Officer may be required to function as a field provider when operational needs, call volume, or staffing shortages necessitate the deployment of additional ambulance units.
