About The Position

STAR is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Training Project Coordinator to coordinate and manage specialized training initiatives funded through a three-year federal grant. This position will serve as the primary coordinator for the project, working closely with the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) providers, community partners, and STAR leadership to ensure training activities are effectively implemented and responsive to the communities STAR serves. Please note that this is a grant-funded, time-limited position supported for a three-year project period. This position works closely with law enforcement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, criminal justice, nonprofit management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least one year of professional experience in program coordination, project management, or training implementation, preferably in a nonprofit or human services setting
  • Experience organizing or facilitating interdisciplinary teams or committees
  • At least one year of experience providing direct crisis intervention and/or survivor advocacy
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice field
  • Understanding of crisis services for survivors of sexual trauma
  • Strong organizational, communication, writing, data management, and time-management skills
  • Ability to travel throughout STAR's service area
  • Availability to respond to after-hours hospital and/or legal accompaniment requests
  • Commitment to STAR's mission and survivor-centered approach
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards
  • Ability to successfully complete required background and hospital clearances
  • Ability to complete required sexual violence training
  • Valid driver's license and working, insured vehicle
  • Consent to and successfully complete a full background investigation, including criminal history check and fingerprinting
