About The Position

The Gray Media Training Program is a 10-week immersive experience designed for college students (preferably Juniors or Seniors) to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of local media. Participants will step into roles such as producers, MMJs, meteorologists, or media sales executives, handling real-world assignments that may be broadcast or published online. The program emphasizes digital engagement, collaboration with experienced professionals, and building a professional portfolio. It offers a fast-track to potential full-time career opportunities within Gray Media's network.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment as a college student (Junior or Senior status preferred).
  • Pursuing a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A 'doer' mindset with a willingness to take initiative.
  • Understanding of digital media platforms.
  • Strong work ethic, organization, and a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Clear and confident communication skills.
  • Commitment to the full 10-week program and the 25-hour weekly schedule.
