About The Position

The Training Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of training programs for light rail and streetcar operations. This includes creating curriculum, lesson plans, training materials, and testing. The role involves scheduling courses, training personnel, and managing facilities and equipment. A key aspect of the position is ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including FTA regulations, by maintaining accurate training documentation. The Training Manager will also support a customer-oriented culture and adhere to Keolis and Agency policies.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years prior direct, relevant experience in a passenger railroad, rail transit, or public transit operating environment.
• A minimum of 2 years conducting regulatory training in the rail industry.
• NIMS Certification is required.
• Must be a resident of proposed business (or willing to relocate).

• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training curriculum, lesson plans, training materials, and testing.
• Schedule courses, training personnel, facilities, and equipment for light rail and streetcar operations service delivery.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of training and testing for each employee in accordance with Valley Metro policies and procedures, as mandated by federal, state, and local law and regulatory authorities.
• Support in leading a customer-oriented culture where all staff ‘Think Like a Passenger’.
• Adhere to all local and federal (FTA) regulations and in accordance with Keolis and Agency policies.
