About The Position

The Training Lead – Food & Beverage is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all training programs across Food & Beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, banquets, and private club services. This role ensures all team members are equipped to consistently deliver high-quality service aligned with established standards. The position serves as a key link between the Training Department and F&B leadership to support operational excellence through structured learning initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of Food & Beverage experience in a full-service or luxury hospitality environment
  • TABC (or equivalent) certification required
  • Food Handler certification required
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on service quality and team development

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in training, learning and development, or leadership support preferred
  • Familiarity with luxury service standards is preferred
  • Spanish language skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom and on-the-job training for all Food & Beverage team members
  • Develop and maintain training materials, standard operating procedures, and certification assessments
  • Lead orientation and ongoing training sessions focused on service standards and operational expectations
  • Implement cross-training programs across multiple F&B roles to support operational flexibility
  • Conduct required safety and compliance training, including food safety, alcohol service, and workplace safety
  • Manage the F&B training calendar, including scheduling sessions, certifications, and required renewals
  • Maintain accurate training records, attendance, and certification tracking
  • Partner with HR and department leaders to ensure training completion and compliance for audit purposes
  • Identify high-potential employees and support development through leadership training programs
  • Coach supervisors and managers on training delivery, performance feedback, and accountability
  • Support pre-shift meetings and leadership sessions to reinforce service standards
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all major F&B roles and service standards
  • Conduct service audits and implement follow-up training to address performance gaps
  • Partner with culinary and beverage teams to deliver product knowledge training
  • Identify and implement best practices in hospitality training
  • Utilize technology (Microsoft 365 and related tools) for communication and tracking
