About The Position

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking a dynamic Training Facilitator passionate about helping others learn, grow, and succeed. This role involves managing and delivering training experiences for employees at all organizational levels, equipping new hires and current team members with the necessary knowledge, skills, and learning experiences to meet their role expectations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Two years manufacturing experience required
  • Demonstrable public speaking, corporate training, or instructional facilitation experience required
  • Thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks; demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work
  • Professional speech and attitude while communicating with different genders, cultures, religions, beliefs, and ethnicities
  • Use of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required
  • Takes positive action to objectively resolve conflict by listening, staying focused on issue to find resolution, and monitoring progress
  • Maintains positive relationships by constructively resolving conflicts
  • Works with a sense of urgency to meet the needs of customers and demonstrates excellent customer service towards learners and colleagues
  • Strong time management skills to balance preparation, instruction, grading, data entry, and contingencies
  • Knowledge of Challenge safety policies and their impact on team member wellness
  • Demonstrates professionalism through dress and appearance, written and verbal communication and language, and preparedness
  • Uses feedback from others to continuously improve performance and work relationships

Responsibilities

  • Conducts New Hire Orientation to prepare employees for safe and accurate work, enabling them to perform at rate while producing quality products.
  • Delivers training in-person, virtually, or asynchronously using a computer-based training system.
  • Teaches learners the documented procedures for using technical equipment such as gauges, HMIs, aerial cranes, and powered industrial lift trucks to ensure safe operation, compliance with the quality management system, and adherence to federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Evaluates, certifies, and documents employee ability to perform work required by competency frameworks, Common Core, and Manufacturing Training Checklists.
  • Proctors knowledge checks, skilled trades testing, and other validation tasks to verify employee knowledge and comprehension with integrity.
  • Enters training activity and outcome data to maintain accurate and defensible training records.
  • Provides accurate KPIs and employee data to support the Weekly Review of Training Needs and Skills Gaps with Top Leadership to address skill gaps.
