About The Position

The YWCA Greater Harrisburg is seeking an experienced professional with a passion for education, advocacy, and creating just communities. This position works primarily within the Violence Intervention & Prevention Department, providing training and education related to domestic violence and sexual assault. The ideal candidate is an engaging presenter, organized coordinator, and strong relationship-builder who enjoys working with employees, volunteers, and community partners.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Communications, Human Services, Education, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience providing education and/or training programs
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
  • Ability to obtain required PA Child Abuse, Criminal History, and FBI clearances
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning techniques
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility to meet changing program and community needs

Responsibilities

  • Deliver standardized domestic violence and sexual assault advocate training and shadowing programs in accordance with program requirements.
  • Provide new employee training and ongoing training as needed.
  • Coordinate the volunteer program, including onboarding, training, compliance, and continuing education.
  • Deliver educational presentations to businesses, schools, community organizations, and other community groups.
  • Conduct community outreach to increase awareness of YWCA services and resources.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders.
  • Track and report training, education, and volunteer program data.
  • Maintain training curricula, educational materials, and resource library.
  • Work with leadership and department heads to identify and coordinate employee training needs.
