About The Position

The Training Developer II is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs in support of military operations. This role focuses on creating effective training products and solutions aligned with Army training development standards to enhance workforce readiness and performance.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Pro.
  • Experience developing e-learning and training products using Articulate Storyline 360.
  • Knowledge of Army training development processes and instructional design principles.
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement effective training programs.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Pro.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in military training development, preferably within Army training development aligned with TR 350-70-1.
  • Experience developing training products using Articulate Storyline 360.
  • Will require an active SECRET clearance, will sponsor a candidate if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in operational contract support (OCS) is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and coordination with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers training programs in accordance with TR 350-70-1 processes and products.
  • Creates and implements onboarding, orientation, and skills-based training for personnel.
  • Develops training materials, including manuals, guides, and courseware using tools such as Articulate Storyline 360.
  • Presents training using various formats, including instructor-led sessions, e-learning modules, simulations, and multimedia presentations.
  • Maintains records of training activities, participation, assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • Evaluates training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Reviews and improves training materials developed by instructors and team members.
  • Maintains current knowledge of trends and best practices in military training and development.
  • Supports operational contract support (OCS) activities as applicable.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
