About The Position

The Training Developer III is responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs in support of military operations. This role applies advanced expertise in Army training development processes to create effective training solutions that enhance operational readiness and workforce performance.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation, facilitation, and instructional design skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Pro.
  • Experience developing training products using Articulate Storyline 360 or willingness to complete contractor-provided training.
  • In-depth knowledge of Army training development processes and TRADOC Regulation 350-70-1.
  • Ability to design, develop, and evaluate complex training programs.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office 365, and Adobe Pro.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in military training development, preferably within Army training development aligned with TRADOC Regulation 350-70-1.
  • Experience developing training products using Articulate Storyline 360 or completion of contractor-provided training.
  • Will require an active SECRET clearance, will sponsor candidate.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in operational contract support (OCS) is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and coordination with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Leads the design and development of training programs in accordance with TRADOC Regulation 350-70-1 processes and products.
  • Develops and implements onboarding, orientation, and advanced skills training for personnel.
  • Creates comprehensive training materials, including manuals, guides, and courseware using tools such as Articulate Storyline 360.
  • Delivers training through multiple formats, including instructor-led sessions, e-learning modules, simulations, and multimedia platforms.
  • Maintains records of training activities, assessments, and program effectiveness.
  • Evaluates and continuously improves training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Reviews and refines training materials developed by instructors and team members to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Maintains current knowledge of trends and best practices in military training and instructional design.
  • Supports operational contract support (OCS) activities as applicable.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
