About The Position

The Developer III will contribute directly to the Company’s continued growth and success. This position is a Senior level role in our Product Development Group. In this role, the Software Developer III will work as part of an Agile SCRUM team building the features for the next generation of McLeod’s software products. Requirements

Ability to learn internal software and systems
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage competing projects and priorities
Ability to work as a member of a team and independently
Strong time management skills
Ability to communicate technical information to a variety of stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree required with 4+ years of software development related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and design patterns.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency in core Java.
Familiarity with Relational Database Management Systems and SQL.
Expertise in TypeScript, API Development, Git, UI Development, and IntelliJ.

Nice To Haves

3+ years of McLeod experience, preferred.
Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.
Exposure to Microsoft Architect, preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop code in Java and TypeScript for both new and existing applications.
Engage in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within an Agile framework.

Troubleshoot and address customer business challenges through software enhancements and modifications.
Evaluate user stories and acceptance criteria to identify necessary programming changes for solutions.
Lead complex tasks within sprint team.
Deliver work without technical direction.
Mentor Entry and Intermediate level Software Developers within team
Occasionally works across Sprint Teams or Work Groups to assist or advise on areas of specific technical strength.
May work on a team using cloud-native development practices including: Microservice architecture, CI/CD, Micronaut, API product development, Test Driven Development.
