About The Position

The Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting The Marzetti Company Allen facility's training initiatives and programs. This role assists the HR Department in serving Production, QA, and CIP by developing, reviewing, and coordinating training documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aids, and Skills Matrices.

Requirements

  • Regular Attendance is required in accordance with Company attendance policy and procedures.
  • Must possess SLIP-RESISTANT/STEEL-TOED SHOES, safety glasses, gloves, shields and aprons.
  • Must successfully acquire and maintain Lock Out-Tag Out Certification.
  • Must complete Behavior Based Safety Observations (BBSO).
  • Must complete Behavior Based Quality observations (BBQs).
  • Must ensure compliance to quality, food safety / HACCP, FSMA, Food Defense, 5S, OSHA and other support programs.
  • Must assure conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
  • Must be able to communicate any concerns related to product safety, integrity, quality and legality to management or to the confidential hotline.
  • Must promote integrity, respect, accountability, continuous improvement and positive interactions with all Team Members.
  • Must be responsible for meeting established objectives pertaining to plant Training goals.
  • Must develop, review, and maintain Training documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures, Job Aids, etc.
  • Must route any document edits for proper approval through Management of Change process.
  • Must ensure that all existing process documentation is controlled with a document control number.
  • Must create content and/or revisions for departmental training documents.
  • Must revise and edit existing training documents and route for approval and training.
  • Must maintain standard templates for training documentation.
  • Must escalate deviations from standards immediately to HR Manager.
  • Must act as a backup for various trainers for train-the-trainers, Accelerated Onboarding, etc.
  • Must process payroll and attendance tracking for all plant employees.
  • Must captain the TOR and IDP process.
  • Must collect and validate information, compile records, and submit temporary employee time cards and correspondence.
  • Must ensure compliance to all federal, state and local laws and company policies. (e.g. I-9 processing).
  • Must perform typing, data entry, filing, and organizing; coordinate all outgoing mail.
  • Must maintain confidential electronic and hard-copy employee data, files and records for the location.
  • Must ensure compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP support programs.
  • Must assure conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
  • Must participate in Operational Excellence, special projects or tasks, and modification programs as needed with prior approval.
  • Must actively participate in department/shift/team meetings as requested and be involved with improvement/resolutions & follow-up.

Responsibilities

  • Creates tools and resources for the training program and serves as a key advisor.
  • Responsible for training program reporting and ensuring the functionality and application of Ramsay Testing for vacant roles.
  • Works with plant leadership to close knowledge gaps.
  • Supports the consistent development of SOPs and develops training documents such as Qualification Cards.
  • Ensures the correct implementation of Training Program standards.
  • Provides dedicated input into the rollout and maintenance of POKA and Summit.
  • Acts as a key driver of the Production Lead Program, including developing tools and resources and interviewing.
  • Partners with EHS, HR, and QA for onboarding and training compliance.
  • Delivers facilitator-led trainings and develops methods to improve training retention and effectiveness.
  • Maintains the highest standard of Safety and ensures compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Performs daily inspections of required PPE.
