About The Position

The Training Ambassador will be responsible for demonstrating job tasks to new hires, ensuring they understand the physical requirements, quality standards, safety protocols, and good manufacturing practices. This role involves conducting and participating in orientations, assisting the training staff, and evaluating the job performance of new and tenured team members. The Training Ambassador must be proactive in identifying team members who are struggling, adjusting training approaches as needed, and coaching/training in a professional manner that adheres to all company policies. Coordination with line supervisors regarding staffing requirements for different product runs and adjusting training accordingly is also a key responsibility. Additionally, the role includes conducting plant tours for applicants.

Requirements

  • Must be able to train hourly personnel in processing and packaging departments.
  • Must be able to understand staffing requirements.
  • Must be able to hang live chickens.
  • Must be able to lift at least 45lbs.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in addition to interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English.
  • Must have an excellent work and attendance record.
  • Able to work under pressure with short timeframe deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate job tasks to new hires, ensuring understanding of physical requirements, quality, safety, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Conduct and/or participate in orientation, assisting the Training staff.
  • Record, track, and evaluate new hire and tenured team members’ job performance on proficiency.
  • Take initiative and call action to team members who are struggling and adjust training approach when necessary.
  • Coach and train new and tenured team members in a professional manner adhering to all Foster Farms policies and procedures.
  • Understand staffing requirements on lines for different product runs and adjust staffing and training, in co-ordination with line supervisor.
