About The Position

The Clinical Trainer is responsible for training clinical staff and guiding their use of the electronic health record to support high-quality service documentation. The role coordinates, designs, and delivers clinical staff training through available online technology and incorporates best-practice curricula.

The position also maintains training certifications, updates training materials and Learning Management System courses, coordinates annual training requirements, audits employee credentialing files, and supports continuing education events.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a behavioral health clinician, manager, or training specialist in a behavioral health setting.
• Active clinical licensure, such as LPC, LCSW, LADC, or LMFT.
• Strong presentation and public-speaking skills.
• Knowledge of effective learning techniques.
• Effective organizational and communication skills.
• Confidence using presentation software.
• Good understanding of the mental health field and community-based settings.
• Knowledge of various licensing.

Responsibilities

• Provide and present clinical training to new and continuing-education employees on topics including diagnosis, treatment plans, documentation, and violence risk assessment.
• Maintain certifications for PersonBrain, Therapeutic Options, and other programs as needed or requested, and help implement them across the agency.
• Review and update training materials quarterly for the electronic health record, Zero Suicide, Zero Overdose, and other required topics.
• Create and maintain an annual calendar of internal and external training requirements.
• Develop courses for the Learning Management System (LMS) as needed and review and update LMS courses quarterly.
• Maintain and audit employee credentialing files to ensure credentials are accurate and up to date.
• Assist with continuing education events, including distributing certificates and ensuring requirements for obtaining and approving CE credits are met.
