About The Position
Westland Insurance Group Ltd has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee, Insurance Advisor in Keremeos, BC. This role is for a career-minded individual focused on growing their career in insurance. The hourly rate for this role is $23 on a 37.5-hour work week, with an increase upon licensing and movement into the Insurance Advisor position. Licensing is typically achieved within 3 months from the date of hire but is dependent on individual achievement. Westland provides support to all Trainees as they work to obtain their licensing. As a Trainee, you will have your licensing costs covered by Westland and be provided with a training plan to ensure you’re fully supported throughout the six-week training period and beyond. You'll also practice anticipating and interpreting client needs, as well as completing various insurance transactions.
Requirements
- Eager to grow, with minimal sales or customer service experience.
- Ability to build authentic client relationships.
- Master time manager, able to prioritize workload.
- Demonstrate confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to obtain your Level 1 Insurance license through a comprehensive 6-week program.
Responsibilities
- Promote and educate clients on Insurance products.
- Anticipate and interpret client needs.
- Complete various insurance transactions.
- Answer questions as they arise and communicate product benefits that best match client needs.
- Conduct interviews while capturing the right data.
- Participate hands-on as a member of the team, turning client concerns into opportunities.
