About The Position

This Trainee Geography Teacher opportunity in Richmond is based at a high-achieving secondary school with an Outstanding Sixth Form, exceptional pastoral care and a strong reputation for academic excellence. Educating over 1,600 pupils, the school consistently delivers excellent GCSE and A-Level outcomes while maintaining an inclusive ethos, with around 13% of pupils receiving SEN Support and 2% holding an EHCP. The role is a contract position paying £115–£120 per day, offering outstanding teacher training and mentoring from experienced Geography specialists. It provides an excellent pathway into salaried teacher training and an opportunity to join a collaborative and supportive Humanities department. Trainees will gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teaching, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 through interventions, classroom assistance, and small-group learning. Trainees will work alongside experienced teachers to plan engaging Geography lessons.
