About The Position

Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring a Trailer Technician to support its fleet service operations in Auburn, Indiana. The role involves maintaining and repairing trailers, performing inspections, and servicing trailer systems. Technicians may also take road service calls and repair company vehicles. The position is full-time, with flexible schedule options of three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts. Second- and third-shift work receives an additional $2.00 per hour. Pay is listed as $26.75–$30.25 per hour, with additional incentives for ASE certifications in brakes, suspension, and preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of shop experience with DOT annual inspections or brakes, or completion of a technician school certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Obtain a toolbox and required tools.
• Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Refrigeration (reefer) unit experience.
• ASE certifications in brakes, suspension, or preventive maintenance; extra pay is offered for these certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers.
• Conduct DOT/FHWA inspections and meet standard service times.
• Repair and replace tires, brakes, and suspension systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and ABS systems.
• Weld and fabricate with steel and aluminum.
• Respond to road service calls and repair company vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
