The Traffic Section Head is responsible for business development, financial success, and managing staff for the department at the local level. The role coordinates strategic growth planning, develops market presence, manages the department budget and resources, supports proposal production, provides technical expertise, and leads staff development and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the strategic growth plan with office managers and practice leaders.
- Establish and grow market presence in the area through marketing and business development.
- Manage the department’s financial budget and allocate resources accordingly.
- Lead and contribute to the production of proposals.
- Serve as a technical expertise resource to project managers and technical staff.
- Establish staffing resource needs for the section.
- Interview and hire staff for the section.
- Conduct staff performance reviews using input from project managers on assigned teams.
- Lead and manage team members through setting expectations and goals, providing feedback, holding one-on-one meetings, coaching, and supporting their growth and development.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
