A Traffic Electronics Maintenance Technician II installs, maintains, repairs and tests a variety of complex traffic electronic control equipment. Work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities. Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work rotating shift work and are subject to call-back. Work is performed in an electronics shop and outdoors where there is occasional exposure to inclement weather and traffic hazards. Work requires moderate physical exertion such as bending and reaching to maintain and repair equipment.
