About The Position
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the candidate must be a dynamic individual with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. The traffic coordinator creates successful relationships with carriers, shipping personnel, customer service, and all other company employees. Knowledge of the shipping industry locally and/or internationally would be considered an asset.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Freight / Traffic
- Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Some knowledge of Customs formalities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and multitasking ability
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of priority
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the shipping industry locally and/or internationally
Responsibilities
- Negotiate freight rates with partner carriers
- Coordinate shipments with Shippers and Consignees
- Responsible for tracking and tracing shipments
- Work with Sales and Customer Service on logistics-related tasks
- Prepare freight-related reports as requested by Management
