About The Position

Responsible for assisting in the routing, shipping, and tracking of inbound and outbound orders. Informs carriers for freight pick-up and ensures shipments are routed appropriately.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required
Knowledge of and ability to understand organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing and logistics processes
Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the manufacturing of customer orders and delivery of finished products
Ability to effectively manage the business relationship with the transporters of raw materials and finished products.
Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local, regional and national distribution of inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods
Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle and logistics supply chain
Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant and warehouse facility

Responsibilities

Coordinates and execute shipping schedules with customers, suppliers or other key stakeholders
Confers with Operations and Scheduling to ensure coordination of product completion and shipments on a timely basis
Assesses and executes transportation options for most cost-effective routing
Resolves outbound and incoming delivery issues with key stakeholders
Maintains daily yard check and PM schedule for trailers
Assists with waste tracking and disposal
Prepares business reports as needed
Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge
