About The Position

Kendall Packaging Corporation is the preferred flexible packaging manufacturer and on-time industry leader for custom-manufactured barrier needs. Under the direction of the Plant Supply Chain Manager, this individual packs and prepares customer orders for shipping, receives material and equipment, and loads and unloads trucks according to established procedures and shipping regulations, meeting customer specifications.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate a forklift truck, hand trucks, a hoist and hand jacks, and the ability to operate a variety of small hand tools.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

Responsibilities

  • Pick orders from finished goods or staging area.
  • Prepare products for shipping to customers. Ensure customer order and products match, box, crate, shrink-wrap as necessary.
  • Contact carriers and schedule pick-ups, ensuring the meeting of customer delivery requirements.
  • Load trucks with outgoing products and/or unload trucks with incoming materials. Inspect materials to ensure bill of lading are correct. Verify the quantity and quality of material received.
  • Place incoming materials into storage.
  • Strive to keep transport costs within budget goals.
  • Operate bander.
  • Affix completed address label and any other special labels required for the handling of material and specified by the carrier and/or customer.
  • Accurately complete and maintain all required paperwork.
  • Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Process recycled products.
  • Follow all safety, regulatory, company policy, procedures, and rules including hazardous waste.
  • Adhere to the GMP policy.
  • All other duties as assigned by the company
