The Traffic Coordinator supports our Supply Chain Team by assisting with the timely and accurate processing of orders from Sales to the Customer. This key position serves as a key point of contact for Sales, Manufacturing, Supply, and Distribution regarding orders placed, work in process, and orders shipped. The Traffic Coordinator requires strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years’ Transportation/Logistics experience, domestic and international.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills with working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work and contribute as part of a team.
  • Positive can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Promote Safety as the Number One priority of all OMG employees.
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service to determine accurate product shipping dates.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing to guarantee product availability.
  • Effectively process back order and/or rework orders.
  • Communicate ETAs (Estimated Times of Arrival), freight charges, and proofs of delivery to customers accurately and timely.
  • Maintain transportation documents, and update Transportation Log daily.
  • Configure and maintain tracking spreadsheets as requested.
  • Process Freight Claims in a timely manner.
  • Create/Process international shipping documentation as required.
  • Assist with expedited or out-of-the-ordinary shipments when necessary and provide shipment quotes to customer service.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
