About The Position
Traffic Engineering Services, a Helix company, is expanding its team. This in-person role reports to the Elkridge, Maryland yard before employees are transported to the worksite. The Traffic Control Professional helps ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians around construction sites. Entry-level flagger training and advanced traffic control courses are offered. Highway experience is a plus.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills to direct traffic and coordinate with team members.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety.
Nice To Haves
- A valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory.
- Highway experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Direct traffic flow around construction sites to ensure the safety of workers and the public.
- Monitor site conditions and report hazards or issues to supervisors.
- Collaborate with crew members to support smooth on-site operations.
- Communicate clearly with team members about traffic patterns and safety protocols.
