Traffic Control Flagger
About The Position
Flagger Force is hiring Traffic Control Flaggers, also called Crew Members, to help protect workers, drivers, and pedestrians in active work zones. The company provides traffic control services across the eastern United States. Crew Members are dispatched directly from home to job sites and work with Crew Leaders to set up and maintain work zones. This outdoor, team-based role involves guiding traffic safely through work zones using appropriate equipment and communication. It offers hands-on experience in the traffic control industry and opportunities to advance into leadership and other roles. The position contributes to public safety and infrastructure development.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle.
- Satisfactory driving record that meets company vehicle driving requirements, verified through a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.
- Availability Monday through Friday, with work starting as early as 6 a.m. and continuing to late afternoon.
- Ability to stand for 8–12 hours, walk 1–2 miles per day, lift up to 30–50 pounds, and work outdoors in various conditions.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability.
- Obtain steel-toe or composite-toe boots that lace above the ankles and are at least 6 inches in height.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain safe temporary traffic control work zones.
- Control traffic flow to protect motorists, pedestrians, and clients.
- Work as part of a team to support safety and efficiency on job sites.
- Assist Crew Leaders in setting up and maintaining work zones.
