About The Position

Flagger Force is hiring Traffic Control Flaggers, also called Crew Members, to help protect workers, drivers, and pedestrians in active work zones. The company provides traffic-control services across the eastern United States. Crew Members are dispatched from home directly to job sites and guide traffic safely through work zones using appropriate equipment and communication. They assist Crew Leaders with setting up and maintaining work zones. This outdoor, team-based role offers varied work and hands-on experience in traffic control, contributing to public safety and infrastructure development. The stated pay range is $16.50–$18.50 per hour. The posting describes advancement opportunities, including the possibility of becoming a Crew Leader in as little as 30–90 days and an opportunity for a raise or promotion in 30–60 days.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle; employees must drive themselves to and from job sites. Ride-sharing or drop-offs are not permitted.
• Satisfactory driving record that meets company vehicle-driving requirements, verified through a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.
• Availability Monday through Friday, as early as 6 a.m. through late afternoon.
• Ability to stand for 8–12 hours, walk 1–2 miles per day, lift up to 30–50 pounds, and work outdoors in various conditions.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability.
• Obtain steel-toe or composite-toe boots that lace above the ankles and are at least 6 inches in height.
• Use approved two-way radios.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain safe temporary traffic-control work zones.
• Control traffic flow to protect motorists, pedestrians, and clients.
• Work as part of a team to support safety and efficiency at job sites.
• Assist Crew Leaders with setting up and maintaining work zones.
• Use appropriate equipment and communication to guide traffic safely through work zones.
