About The Position

Flagger Force is hiring Traffic Control Flaggers (Crew Members) to protect workers, drivers, and pedestrians in active work zones. The company provides traffic control services across the eastern United States. Crew Members are dispatched directly from home to job sites and use appropriate equipment and communication to guide traffic safely, while assisting Crew Leaders in setting up and maintaining work zones. This outdoor, team-based role offers varied work and contributes to public safety and infrastructure development.

The stated pay range is $16.50–$18.50 per hour. Employees may have an opportunity for a raise or promotion in 30–90 days, including a potential path to Crew Leader and other leadership, training, safety, and management roles.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle; employees must drive themselves to and from job sites. Ride-sharing and drop-offs are not permitted.
• Satisfactory driving record that meets company vehicle driving requirements, verified through a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.
• Availability Monday through Friday, with work starting as early as 6 AM and extending to late afternoon.
• Ability to stand for 8–12 hours, walk 1–2 miles per day, lift up to 30–50 pounds, and work outdoors in various conditions.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and reliability.
• Obtain steel-toe or composite-toe boots that lace above the ankles and are at least 6 inches in height.
• Use approved two-way radios.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain safe temporary traffic control work zones.
• Control traffic flow to protect motorists, pedestrians, and clients.
• Work as part of a team to support safety and efficiency on job sites.
• Assist Crew Leaders with setting up and maintaining work zones.
• Use appropriate equipment and communication to guide traffic safely.
