About The Position

As a Protector, you work with a team at job sites to help manage traffic and keep crews, clients, and the public safe. No experience or degree is needed; the company provides training and support. Safety is the top priority.

The job is performed outdoors throughout the year, in all weather. Shifts may change based on job needs, and some night, weekend, or emergency work may be required. You may stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift. The company provides a hard hat, safety goggles, safety vest, safety whistle, walkie-talkie, and hot- and cold-weather gear. You must provide your own above-the-ankle steel-toe safety boots.

The position offers paid on-the-job training, including ATSSA certification and defensive driving, with ongoing professional development. There are potential advancement opportunities to Senior Protector, Lead Protector, Field Supervisor, or Manager.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Ability to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule and punctuality for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.
• Ability to stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules.
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.
• Must provide above-the-ankle steel-toe safety boots.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades, and take traffic control equipment down.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic.
• Watch traffic and job site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with the crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
